Holy Unions, Marriages and Blessings |
It is important to honor, acknowledge and publicly bless our relationships before God and others. This is why we offer Holy Union Ceremonies, Blessings and Marriage Rites to all who are interested in entering a covenant. A few meetings with our Pastor and a fee is required for planning your special occasion regardless of the location of the ceremony. One need not be a member of MCC Illiana to make a request. Please contact the pastor for more information: pastor@mccilliana.org. |
Entering into the community of faith through baptism is an ancient practice of Christian communities we offer at MCC Illiana for adults, children or infants. Due to the importance of baptism to Christian faith, one need not be a member of MCC Illiana to request baptism into the Christian faith. Please contact the pastor for more information: pastor@mccilliana.org. |

Affirming Faith in God and Christ |
As a member church of Metropolitan Community Churches we affirm the traditional Apostles and Nicene Creeds, while upholding the revelation of God through Jesus as the Christ. The diverse beliefs of our community rely upon dialogue and conversation within the sacred texts of our traditions that continue to form, and transform, our experiences with God through each other. When visiting you will notice we affirm the many names of God through inclusive language which names God as Father, Mother, Friend, Lover, Creator and more. As a Beloved Community of Faith, we affirm the work of the Spirit in our lives, as a witness to the mystery of God. We pray, seek healing, encourage each other and demonstrate the many gifts of the Spirit within the body of Christ, which we call MCC Illiana. |
