Who We Are |

We support a “priesthood of all believers,” and encourage all members and friends of the church to share their unique gifts and talents with the community. We are all ministers! |
We have been around since December 2002, and are 50+ members strong. We are a Christian church, following the teachings and example of Jesus Christ. However, we are a new and different faith community in Northwest Indiana. On the one hand, we are dedicated to serving the spiritual, social and service needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and questioning people and their allies. On the other, we are open to everyone. Our reach includes Northwest Indiana, the suburbs of Chicago and Southwest Michigan. We are a member church of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches (UFMCC), a denomination founded by the Reverend Troy Perry in 1968, after he felt God calling him minister to gay and lesbian people who had previously been excluded from church life. We believe each person is the imago dei, the Image of God, and that all people reflect God’s goodness. We support a “priesthood of all believers,” and encourage all members and friends of the church to share their unique gifts and talents with the community. We are all ministers! |
